What Every Batch Has to Pass

6 — Contaminants screened in every batch
10x — Lower than Norwegian and European mercury limits
5 — Global purity standards passed

How We Purify Every Batch

Every batch goes through purification and independent testing before it's approved for sale.

  • Methyl mercury
  • Dioxins
  • PCBs
  • Heavy metals and trace metals
  • Brominated flame retardants
  • Potential organic pollutants

Manufactured to Federal Standards

Every batch is produced in an FDA-registered facility and held to two federal certifications.

cGMP Standards
FDA's Current Good Manufacturing Practice certification, applied to every batch.

HACCP
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points certification, required under FDA regulation 21 CFR 123.

Heavy Metals
OmegaVia products test below 0.1 parts per million for mercury and lead, roughly 10 times lower than Norwegian and European standards. As a California company, our raw oil must also pass California Proposition 65 thresholds for heavy metals before it is approved for use.

The low-temperature CO2 extraction and chromatography used to purify OmegaVia is rarely used by other Omega-3 brands. It's how we bring environmental contaminants down to ultra-low levels.

Dioxins
OmegaVia is tested for dioxins, and the oil measures within both Norwegian and European limits.

PCBs
The World Health Organization's PCB guidance focuses on the specific compounds most harmful to human health, a narrower and more rigorous standard than a simple total-PCB measurement. OmegaVia oil is tested against WHO's standard before it is approved for manufacture.
